Small Business Opportunity Checklist

Small Business Opportunity Checklist provides tools to find out if the business idea you have in mind has the potential to become your successful business opportunity.

If you have any questions in regard to this checklist please let us know. Our mission is to see small business owners succeed.

Step-By-Step Guide To
Your Business Opportunity Success:

Did you come across a 101 small business opportunity or do you have one in mind since years? Now is the time to check out if this biz opportunity is meant for you.

Follow our step-by-step guide and don't hesitate to ask any questions in regard to the small business opportunity checklist or if you can't find the information you are looking for.

To take advantage of a business opportunity

• you should be a good technician (know the product/service you are planning to offer),

• you can motivate yourself and stay motivated (when others don't or can't motivate you)

• you should be committed to succeed (give up your personal life, free time, hobbies, etc. - perhaps you laugh about this, but it helps to realize to take advantage of a business opportunity is different to being an employee with a 9-5 job).

Identify:

• Does the business opportunity you have in mind as a business idea fulfills your passion?

• Do you have skills available to provide professional knowledge to your customers or build/manufacture your ideal products?

• Does this business opportunity fit your personality type? Are you willing to deal with customers 24/7?

Plan:

Why do you want to run with this business opportunity?

How do you want to pursue this business opportunity?

• What are your short term, middle term and long term goals?

• What motivates you? What is your mission?

Failing to plan is planning to fail.

Funding:

Cash-Flow is the key of every business

• What can you invest? How much can you borrow?

• Find out what money do you need to survive for the first three years to stay in business.

Brand/Name:

Branding or Service/Product/Location Related? Mr. Clean or Dry Cleaner Orlando?

• Choose the right name with your long term goal in mind. Do you want to stay a small business owner or become a middle to big size business. Choose a name that still fits when your company it 10 years and older.

Location:

• Do you start a home based, brick-and-mortar or online business? You can also combine the home based and brick-and-mortar with the online business and offer both.

Don't spend money you don't have available yet. Choose a setup you can expand later.

Decision
(after you went throught the small business opportunity checklist):

If you went through all the steps above, and you are still motivated and excited about your business opportunity, then go for it!

You already have everything you need to start your business. Now it's time to set up your business structure (incorporating), purchase a business insurance for your needs, and have an accounting system in place.

When you are ready to open your business let your local city and county know so they can provide you with the occupational business license.
